Specialising in therapeutic support for children & adolescents 0-18 years & their families and carers.
Anxiety
Anxiety can manifest in children and adolescents for a variety of reasons. This can cause emotional and behavioural disturbances, impact on sleeping and eating patterns including difficulties at school. Toddlers and younger children can not always find the words to describe their anxieties and this can result in outbursts, screaming and shouting, tantrums or becoming withdrawn.
Behaviour
Difficult, unusual or a change in a child's behaviour can be upsetting for a parent/carer. Your child may also not understand why he/she is experiencing a change of mood or feeling a particular way and this can be frustrating and have an impact on relationships. It can be helpful to help understand the possible root cause.
Trauma
Parent/carer consultation
Sometimes it can be really helpful to think through what might be going on for your child and the wider family. I have extensive experience of working with parents and carers.
I have experience of working with children and young people who have experienced development trauma and also dissociative and anxiety disorders.

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy can help explore difficult or negative thoughts, emotions and behavior that may arise from these experiences.
Helping your child
Sometimes parents and carers can get worried about their child for a variety of reasons, You may feel as though you have tried everything and are feeling stuck and unsure which way to turn. This is not uncommon and you are not alone. Seeking help for your child can be the first step and can often bring a sense of relief and you are on the way to getting things back on track.
Adolescent Therapy
I have experience of working with adolescent's up to 18 years.
